A sense of beauty, how disharmonious inner states are ruining the world, the superficiality of plagarised teachings that are unfortunately so common, the real message of peace within and creating something spiritually exceptional within ourselves.
A talk in Oregon, USA in 2008.
A great point made about all the new age “gurus”. Would be really good if we could get that message out there to more people. How many people searching for the truth are being ripped off Spiritually? That’s really tragic. And so too, that most people in the world have no idea what the Christ really is. This humanity is really lost. I’m reminded of a comment someone made one time about us saving the hat of the drowning man.
Thank you for this wonderfully inspirational video. There are many so many great points. How beautiful our world would be if everyone was interested in truly pursuing spirituality. I find the point that spiritual gains don’t come because we believe we deserve them, but rather that we feel we don’t, particularly inspiring and motivating.
Seeing this talk makes me feel very fortunate. It really enkindles that yearning to make use of this precious opportunity to practice a spiritual work in my life.
When watching the video I imagined how this would be such a breath of fresh air for someone who has waded through all the vague spiritual information that is out there on the internet. So I hope those people can find their way to these clear teachings.
Another point of learning, something that’s showing itself to me a lot recently, is the need to actually give up on certain habits and attachments. Those need to be changed as giving in to those keeps me stuck and (as the video says) “…keep us trapped in that mediocrity.” Oh, that horrible mediocrity. I see the same in others as well, a great potential present but certain obstacles, each their own, that hold someone back from unleashing that dedication.
It’s wonderful to see this talk posted again. It’s such a powerful one.
This is really an amazing talk.
How profound to consider that spiritual rewards and faculties don’t come to us because we may think we deserve them, but rather that we feel unworthy and recognize our own internal impoverishment.
A very different way to live and look at life.
Thanks Mark great talk very inspirational, a real wake up call of the importance of the spiritual work
Lots of great points in that talk. But making use of this life and the amazing opportunity to do something truly worthwhile within with it really jumps out at me every time I hear it. Thanks for the reminder, which is always much needed as you can so easily lose focus and purpose while going through day-to-day troubles and ego-based complications.
You said it better than I could. In addition I appreciated the exact ways on how to bring up consciousness within. It is a needed reminder.
Often times when things get challenging you can’t see the forest for the trees, but this video puts it into perspective nicely and crystallizes why we make the sacrifices in life that we do; to do something marvelous with our lives. A perfect teaching to understand and apply to my life now. Thanks Mark for the message. Great timing as usual. ~ with deep gratitude.
Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you Mark for this beautiful and very inspiring talk. It’s such a strong help to listen and try to perceive it repeatable, thank you deeply.
A great talk, thank you.
Thank you Mark for this.
Your words are an awesome inspiration, really helpful for me variously and a seasonable multidimensional matter that it deserves to study seriously
