Belebuub discusses near-death experiences with Dr Peter Fenwick, one of the world’s leading NDE researchers on BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire, August 14th 2006. More recently in 2012 Dr Fenwick stated “I myself suspect that NDEs are part of the same continuum as mystical experiences.”

Like others here, I really enjoyed this talk. It is very encouraging to hear these topics being spoken about so openly on mainstream radio. Shame that it doesn’t happen more often and more in depth.
On the other hand, it is a bit sad that people continue to view these topics as something to be analysed from a simply rational, scientific point of view and not something that can be verified every time we fall asleep. The fear brought about for some people would naturally stop them from ever pursuing these topics further; I hope that people who have had NDE’s that have left them fearful are able to find Belsebuub’s teaching so they can start to verify things in and for themselves.
thanks very much for sharing these talks.
This is a fantastic show; well worth a listen.
For me it brings back memories of early experiences. I also had an experience that lead me to not pay much attention to time although it was a positive experience.
It’s interesting to listen to Peter’s comments and not surprising to hear Gina agreeing with Mark based on her experience.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Nice round table style discussion. Refreshing to hear Mark and others discussing the subject with different yet complimentary perspectives. Thank you for posting this one! I’m stoked to get my astral practice on.
It was interesting to listen to Mark and a scientist speaking about this topic together, it was a strong and inspiring discussion. I too, like Olga, feel that it is a gift to be given such an experience. Listening to similar experiences I see it’s a chance to gain understanding and strength to make changes in your life and have more meaningful goals.
Thank you deeply Mark for sharing another strong helpful interview.
That meeting was very interesting. I liked the approach towards the scientific point of view and reminds me Belsebuub sayings that:
“Spirituality and science should be part of one study of life.”
And at this chat looks like Mark and Dr. Fenwick completed each other.
Thanks for posting it.
I am very pleased to hear in mainstream media such a discussion about astral travel and near death experience. It is also great that even the scientist can be on the side of someone who talks about astral travel. Usually you can only hear the scientists who deny very strictly this topic about astral traveling, even the moderator wasn’t in opposition which is very rare. So I must repeat myself again and say, it was a great audio, thank you Belsebuub for posting this up.
As others have mentioned, its so refreshing to hear talks like these discussed openly in mainstream as well as seeing the scientific community taking an interest. I am sure that learning about this very thought provoking phenomena is the start of many questions and curiosities surrounding the purpose of life and death and has the potential to raise within individuals this questioning to step out of the box. What a great gift to have such an experience that compels someone to search further, and to spur the curiosity in others of how a whole other world exists. NDE’s can certainly be traumatic as you are standing at the edge of death, although there have been many cases I have learned about where people were so overtaken by love and light and meaning that they never wanted to return back to their body, however after a bit of convincing.. and upon returning to the world, they brought with them a greater understanding and purpose to live with more fullness, cherishing life all the more.
I also really appreciated Mark’s input in this talk, there was something very grounding and reassuring about out-of-body experiences that was introduced so gently even though this phenomena is so amazing and life changing. All in all it was nice to hear the different perspectives of all the people researching into the science and study of OBEs and NDEs.
Thanks for uploading : )
So interesting! When I have time these days, I try not to get up from my bed until I can remember some sort of a spiritual guidance. And learning how to be conscious more often in the astral plane – and to become more conscious – how much deeper insight and knowledge we can get about life and death and all other mysteries!
Thank you for sharing Belsebuub, I try to research it more.
Nice interview, all the participants sounded very interested and serious about the topic. It is pity though, that towards the end the researcher stressed the “traumatic” nature of the phenomenon. Glad to hear that today he considers it more close to mystical experiences rather than something frightening. I think that the people who feel “traumatized” by being aware and conscious of their existence outside of the body are maybe too materialistic and so this sudden realization of the other (spiritual) dimensions feels scary to them, or they are influenced by other people who tell them this is something bad, unnatural, scary, etc… I have a friend who was also told to go to psychiatrist when she shared about her first conscious out of body experience. Fortunately, she was able to find out the truth about this phenomenon, but many others may not, and that’s sad. I hope that things are gradually changing though, and that out-of-body experiences will be slowly accepted as something natural that is actually desirable, as it simply means that a person is more aware and so realizes what happens to them when they sleep.
Great talk, loved it. Lots of excellent information on NDE and astral travel, thank you.
Such an interesting topic of discussion Near-Death-Experiences and Out-of-Body experiences. Wished the airtime on the show was longer! I’m sure listeners and guests on the show could gain a lot more insights from Mark’s angle coming from his own personal experiences. But then again it also seems a person needs to have an ‘ear for it’ to be able to receive and take in information that is esoteric.
It’s nice that Dr Peter Fenwick, an acknowledged researcher and author in the field it appears, could join in as well. It’s refreshing when researchers like that, after many years of research, come to the conclusions he does which point to ‘more’. It seems even he had to face criticism for those views, but great that it didn’t deter him.
Once again I’m very impressed at Mark’s adaptability to the style of each interview.
Thanks for sharing.
An interesting conversation. I definitely agree that this is an area that science has been unable to give worthwhile help on. There is a fundamental difference between an individual exploring out-of-body experiences, and being explained a lot about them by someone else. In my opinion this is where Mark really stands out because his message is about individual exploration whereas science seems to be about providing all answers.
What an excellent interview! I loved that Mark and the other interviewees were able to verify each other’s perspectives, lending authenticity to all of them. And for people who might be afraid of “side effects” of out-of-body experiences, I thought Mark’s answer was powerful: keep practicing, familiarize yourself with being out of your body, and those side effects will subside. Thank you for posting!
I also thought that was an important point to shed some light on Shannon. I think if someone has a single experience that caused them to be afraid and kind of sticks just with that, it doesn’t give an objective general view of out-of-body experiences in my opinion.
Personally I haven’t experienced anything that caused me to have a lasting fear back in waking life, but some ‘frights’ here and there, experiences with sleep paralysis etc. all these have been things that you get familiar to with more experiences, like Mark mentions, then they lose their inhibiting influence. Same principle as with other things really, public speaking, a student driver’s nervousness on the open road etc.
